Email Fraud

We would like to make our customers aware that there has been a surge of emails scams in recent times, with fraudulent parties claiming that you have won a prize in their exclusive competitions.

Please note that Rapid Broadband does not run exclusive competitions through email links or browser popups.

If you ever receive an email that claims to its sent from Rapid Broadband, please note that Rapid Broadband does not send emails from any other email address other than @rapidbroadband.ie.

Here is an example of a fraudulent email that one of our customer’s received and flagged to us:

As you can see, this fraudulent link from the email did not redirect the customer to the Rapid Broadband website but a “scam-site” as can be seen in the address bar.

Usually the address bar will be a good indicator if the website is a fraudulent or not.

If you are ever in any doubt, do not click on any of the links take a screenshot of the email and send as an attachment to info@rapidbroadband.ie.
